Beginning Quilting
Participants will have a completed quilt at the end of the class. You will learn how to make different block types. Half square triangles, flying geese to name a few. A supply list will be provided prior to the start of class. Participants will receive a 10% discount on supplies purchased at Sandy Creek Quilts.

For your first class bring the book START QUILTING WITH ALEX ANDERSON, a pencil or pen with paper to take notes. You will not need your sewing machine or other supplies to the first meeting. You will be discussing and looking at different fabric selections so you may want to wait until
the first class to purchase your fabrics.
A complete list of supplies will be emailed to you as soon as you enroll in the class.

| Requirements: | Must have a sewing machine, cleaned, oiled and in good working order with a new needle. Must know how to thread your machine, wind your bobbin, change the needle in your machine. |

| Instructor Bio: | Donna began sewing clothing for herself as well as for family members and friends at the age of 10. With her love of sewing it was inevitable that she would eventually discover quilting. As her self-taught skills expanded she sought out increasing challenges including finely detailed, curved and foundation paper pieced blocks and quilts. She has been teaching various levels of quilting for over twenty years and was a Certified Judy Niemeyer Instructor teaching her patterns from 2015 - 2024. Besides teaching at local quilt shops Donna has also taught at quilting retreats as well as lecturing and teaching workshops for guilds. |
